    　　「獵鯊行動」是一個發生在警隊中的故事，講述一個年輕有為的青年，如何逐步踏上自毀前途的末路。　　見習督察袁揮（呂良偉飾）做事不拘形式，對下屬葉釧（劉江飾）等視為兄弟，姑息他們不跟常規辦事。高級女督察林希雅（鄺美云飾）為袁揮之上司，剛從外國回港，做事作風洋化，處世一絲不茍，與袁揮意見不合。　　沈子奇（林立三飾）為希雅分居丈夫，時常借故親近希雅，以望重拾舊情，令希雅心煩不已。袁揮有見及此，雖與希雅意見不合，仍幫助假扮她的情人打發子奇。后二人竟弄假成真，互生情愫。　　新CID馬若池（王書麒飾）在一次行動中誤傷袁揮之妹麗紅（蔡嘉利飾），麗紅對若池產生感情，惟若池也以妹妹看待，麗紅失望之余，常藉袁揮之名出外生事，終弄至袁揮為袒護她而被革職。　　袁揮心灰意冷之際，在希雅鼓勵下，從事旅行社生意。袁揮前同居女友朱寶雯（商天娥飾）自與袁揮分手后，轉投華老板懷抱，與袁揮諸多作對，終把旅行社拖垮。　　袁揮被華老板羞辱后走投無路，決鋌而走險，打劫珠寶行。希雅早發覺袁揮行為有異，派人監視，但仍為袁揮的機智所擺脫，怎料袁揮卻因此而惹下入獄禍，要啞子吃黃蓮，替人頂罪。　　劇情發展下去，高潮迭起，究竟袁揮與林希雅的感情會有怎樣的發展？袁揮的未來前途怎樣？華老板會否因袁揮入獄而放他一馬？……
