露絲（劉玉玲 飾）和丈夫克里斯（克里斯·蘇利文 飾）帶著兒子泰勒（艾迪·馬代 飾）和女兒克洛伊（卡莉娜·梁 飾），一家四口一起搬進郊區一處新家。克洛伊因為失去摯友而陷入悲傷，同時又常因為和哥哥不合引發爭執，加上媽媽對哥哥的偏愛，讓她感到無依無靠。來到新家之后，她默默感受到這個家中， 似乎有股詭異的靈異力量存在，而這股力量從一開始就圍繞在她身邊，并逐漸轉移至影響整個家庭，讓這家人必須搞清楚，這股神秘力量究竟想要告訴他們什么。
